We got a chance to sit down with The Revivalists after their
set on Saturday to discuss their experiences in Mississippi. The group is a
large ensemble from New Orleans who won Best Emerging Artist in 2011 in the Gambit Magazine Big Easy Awards and were
nominated for Best Rock Act in 2012.
Being from New Orleans, they often travel
through Mississippi touring and so we talked about some hard times they’ve hit
along Hwy 49 and I-55 and how that Mississippi neighborly spirit helped put
them on their way.
