Mississippi Happening resuming LIVE tapings & podcasts March 13th!

Mississippi Happening is at it again, bringing together the best of arts and culture in Mississippi and broadcasting it far and wide! 

Mississippi Happening kicks off its new bimonthly presentation on Tuesday, March 13th at The Pizza Shack on Old Canton Rd. Beginning at 7pm the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays each month, this two hour program features creators from all sectors of the arts along with business and community development leaders making bold moves with the creative economy at their core.

Our first program features:

- New York conceptual artist Kate Browne talking about her new project Cocoon, an interactive community art installation taking place at the Mississippi Museum of Art March 12-24th.

- Local rock group The Swamp Babies discuss their creative process, play a few tracks and tell us about upcoming shows and projects.

- A panel of Midtown neighborhood artists, nonprofit organization and business leaders discuss the exciting role they are playing in developing a model for the new creative economy.

- A few of Jackson's own Nameless Poets perform original selections and organizer Nathan Harper talks spoken word in Jackson.
