Concert Calendar 6/21 - 6/26

Hopefully everyone is having a great time at JUBILEE JAM! Patrick is sweating it out and taking pictures of the excitement which you will eventually be able to see on his awesome new website! For now you can check out his beautiful photos of the Storage 24 music video shoot.

As you may know, Daniel G. is in South America for three weeks so there will not be live MS Happening shows until July. You can still tune in to WLEZ on Thursdays from 7-8 to hear local Mississippi music, however there will be no ridiculous commentary or concert calendar.

I can't help you with the first one, but I can suggest some exciting things to do in Mississippi this week!

Tomorrow is the Pattern is Movement and The Da Vincis show at Olympic Records Studios. PiM has been touring with St. Vincent for the past month and we are excited they are stopping through Jackson on their way home. Doors are at 7:30pm at 880 Foley St.

Monday, check out The Goddamn Gallows at Ole Tavern at 9pm. They are a rockabilly band on tour from Michigan. Also Monday is Home Ec 121, a craft night at One to One Studios. We will be making quilt squares to make into a community quilt, from 7-10pm.

Wednesday, The Church Keys are playing in the Hal and Mals courtyard. They were featured on Mississippi Happening several months back and played at Jubilee Jam today. They will be partying to say goodbye to our friends Chris and Rachel :( Also on Wednesday is American Aquarium (from Raliegh) and Furrows at Ole Tavern.

Friday, head to the Eudora Welty Commons at 7pm for a Contra Dance with The Scramblers and The Dixie National. Then Martin's is having Roosevelt Noise and The Dark Knights of Camelot rock your faces off at 10pm.

That's what's happening!
